7 Weeks
Hello, Beautiful! You have grown so much stronger, smarter, and prettier since last week! =D
You're using your hands to touch objects more often now (the right one is dominant...for now, muahahaha) and you are using your eyes to look and see everything you can in your world.
For Christmas you visited your whole family- Grandmama and Cranpa, Aunt Wendy, Aunt Krista and Uncle Richard, Dede and Pawpaw, Aunt Chris and Uncle Keith, even Mimi and Papa Joe. You were one busy girl! And you made out like a BANDIT at Christmas- new toys to help you develop. Yesterday Mommy bought you new pants for the chilly weather that's coming. You're wearing one pair of them in these pictures.
There is also a movie of you that you can see here. You're playing with your seahorse. ^^
Mommy and Daddy are very busy taking care of you, and Daddy needs to go work now, so we'll end with a BIG HUG and kiss.
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Six Weeks Old!
Yay, Cordy! You are getting so big and pretty. =D
Your smiles come most in the morning, and you are awake and aware more often. You are having your first Hannukah and you're going to have your first Christmas this week. Your whole family is so happy to spend time with you and hold you close. You are loved.

Five Weeks Old
Baby girl, guess what? You're starting to smile more often. They used to say babies only smile because of gas, but now we know it's because something is making them happy. We love your smile.
Tomorrow you will go to the doctor for your one month check-up and we will get to see how long and heavy you've gotten. You're such a big girl! =D
Right now you're fussing in Daddy's arms, making toots and getting your back patted. You're a rootin', tootin', high-falutin' baby, and you're not ashamed to say so.
We love you and can't wait to share Hannukah and Christmas with you for the first time. ^^

Early Christmas
Hello baaaaby!
Your Aunt Wendy bought you the coolest play gym. Instead of taking pictures of you playing in it, Mommy decided to take video. =D
It's so much fun to watch you learn as you play and grow. Keep up the great work! ^^
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

One Month Old!
Hey, you! You with the big blues! You're one month old today. ^^
You have been steadily gaining weight (although the doctor wouldn't see you yesterday because 29 days is not enough for a one month check-up, apparently), and you have been grrroooooowwwwwwwwwwwiiiinnnnng! Newborn clothes are far too tiny for you, and 0-3 month clothes are getting to be too short if there are footies involved.
What are you up to? Besides your amazing physical development (you could roll from your back to your side before you were a week old AND lift your head when on your tummy) you have been working on your eye development. You are spending more time awake and aware, looking at your surroundings. You are beginning to make more sounds, too. You used to only coo coo, which got you your nickname lovey dovey...but now you squeak, squeal, and give little yells. And you fuss/cry, obviously.
You have come a long way in 30 days, and what's even more amazing is how far you will go in the next 47 weeks! You will be standing and starting to talk!
So eat, eat, eat, and sleep so you can grow. We love you!

Two Weeks Old!
Cordy, you are two weeks old today!
It's a big day for our country because Americans take today off to give thanks for all the good things God gives us. It's a big day for our family because it makes nine years that your Mommy and Daddy have been together and loving each other. =)
Your turkey will be second-hand this year, but next year you can have some for real!
What are you up to? Three nights in a row now you've had a pretty consistent schedule: 2:30, 5:00, 7:00 for feedings and sleeping the rest! Yeah, you go! Tomorrow we will go to the doctor and see how big you've grown.
Happy Turkey Day, to our little Turkey! ^^
Love,
Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 1
Happy Birthday, Cordy!
You are one week old today. =DD
You measure in the 70th percentile for weight, but the 95th percentile for height. You have grown 1.5 inches since you were born!!
You can roll over onto your side and you are eating up a storm to keep your weight up. Your family loves you sooo much! Your Dede came for a visit and stayed overnight, plus your Grandmama has come to visit twice this week as well.
Aunt Wendy made this awesome video for you!
You are so loved and we are glad you came to live with us.

Happy Birthday!
Dear Cordelia Leigh,
Mommy is writing late to tell you happy birthday. You were born at 6:50 PM on November 10th. You weighed 9 lbs 3 oz, although you've dropped now to 8 lbs 8 oz. You are 21.5 inches long!
You were born without any medicine, so you were awake and ready to face the world! And how pretty you are.
We found out what you were doing with your hands in all those ultrasound pictures, you don't suck your thumbs, you suck the backs of your hands. Soo adorable! Mommy loves to watch your little violet eyes gazing up into hers. Daddy says you're the most beautiful baby ever, and Mommy agrees.
Here are pictures your Aunt Wendy took.

Week 37
Dear Miss Cordy,
You are in the home stretch. Your brain and lungs are doing final touches, plus you're putting on baby fat...up to 1 lb each week now!
We are SOOOOOO excited to see you soon! In fact, remember how Mommy said to wait until Halloween? You can forget that part. X3 We want to hold you soon!
Fall weather is here, and it's getting chilly. That means you're coming soon! Yes, that's really all Mommy and Daddy can think about right now...it's like Christmas, but BETTER.
WE LOVE YOU (!!!!) and we can't wait to hold and kiss you. =DDDDDD
Patiently (for now),
Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 36
Heyyy, Cordy! You're at the last box in the ticker!
Your family and friends all got together on Saturday and threw you the most beautiful party. Aunt Krista did the planning, Grandmama and Aunt Wendy helped decorate, and Dede, Mimi, and Aunt Chris all did a beautiful job with the food!
Your bedroom is almost finished. We will put up pictures for you to see when it's done. =D
Only 1-5 weeks left to go! When will you come? We're not sure! You don't have a calendar in there, so you don't really know your due date is 11/9. Your Daddy is holding out for 11/11/11, because he says that would be pretty cool.
We will be at the doctor's on Monday, and there are only four appointments left! Are you getting excited? Probably not- you're too busy kicking Mommy's ribs and pushing down, getting ready to be born.
You're inside your Mommy right now, but soon you could come out and play!
Wednesday, October 5, 2011
Week 35
Mommy is excited, Cordy! You have 2 to 6 1/7 weeks left. When are you going to choose to come out? I dunno, but we're going to be ready for you when you do!
There's a big party on Saturday for you. You won't be there except in Mommy's tummy, but you will be able to hear the talking and fun. You will be able to feel the hugs and belly pats. You will taste the cake (Mmmmmm) in your fluid.
Everybody who is close-by and who loves us will be there! Some people are even coming from farther away. You will get presents, because this is an early birthday party. Mommy and Daddy get to open them, though, because you're still inside.
You are SOO big! Your head and feet are stretching all the way down Mommy's tummy. Your feet are pushing up, up, up into Mommy's ribs, which is not too comfy for her, but that's ok. You're going to be the best-loved little girl, mostly because you already are. ^^

Week 34
Hey there, miss thang!
This is a note from your Mommy. Please keep growing, but try not to smoosh your feet into my diaphragm. I need to use that too!
~Your Total Home Gym, er, Mommy.
But really, Cordy, we're very happy. Mommy was given an award for being in the top 25% of the company. Daddy is losing weight and feeling good!
You are at the 70th percentile for weight, and you're head down, facing Mommy's back. How can we tell? We can feel your butt putting pressure on Mommy's belly, and your feet pushing up into Mommy's diaphragm (the muscle we use to breathe).
Bradley classes are going well, Mommy is keeping track of her diet so we can get you good foods that will help you keep strong. We are also learning how to relaaaax so when it's time for you to be born we won't need any medicine. Because having a baby hurts. But you are WORTH IT!
Keep growing in there, and don't come out until Halloween is over, ok?
Love,
Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 32
Helloooo, Baby Cordy!
We have been very busy. Saturday was 6 hours of childbirth class. Sunday was pictures! Monday was a check-up with Dr. Murray (he says you are doing great). Tuesday we met Dr. McKenna, who will be your pediatrician. PHEW!
Then today is your 32 week point! Woo-hoo!
What's that? You want to see the pictures? Ok...here's one. ^^
We are waiting for the lion's share to be finished, but Miss Lisa did a BEAUTIFUL job so far! =D
Mommy is going to go feed her belly, which will make both of us happy.
We love you!!!
~Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 31
Miss Cordy, you weigh 4 lbs and 3 oz today! You're 16.9 inches long and your femur measures the same as the average 32 week old. ^^ Miss Hilda who did your ultrasound said you have wide feet, which is like your Daddy. You were practicing breathing today, we also saw you purse your lips and sip, sip, sip on your fluid, which should have a taste of kielbasa, green pepper, carrots, grapes, and cherries (Mommy's lunch).
We are happy to tell you that your placenta is 8 inches away from the cervix (the place in Mommy's tummy you will squeeze through) and you will be born with no medicines. =D
That being said, Mommy is praying for struggles in our family with Aunt Wendy's cancer making it hard to get the surgery she needs. Sad things can happen in our lives, but God will take care of us, even when it is hard. Just like we will take care of you.
Love,
Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 30
We have about 10 weeks left, Miss Cordy. Then you could come out to play!
This week Mommy's body is stretching to make room for you to come out. It hurts, but it's worth it for a beautiful baby like you. Mommy has been telling her new students about you, showing them your pictures. They are excited for Halloween to come, because you'll be almost here, then!
Your future friend Harper was born yesterday, she weighed over 5 pounds. How much will you weigh? Probably between 7.5 and 8.5 pounds.
Your Daddy has been working to keep our house nice while Mommy works and comes home to rest. Let's thank him, ok?
Aaaand this weekend you will get to hear your grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins at Mimi and Papa Joe's lake house. It's going to be fun, there will be tasty food, and we will get to share about how you are growing.
What are you up to right now? Mostly just being a baby. You sleep, kick, play with your feet, move your arms in what Mommy calls "dancing," and chill. It's pretty easy just hanging out, growing, and gaining weight. In fact, if you ever gain weight as fast as this again, you're probably having a little one of your own!
We love you, but stay put until Halloween, you hear? We can wait to meet you until then. =D
Love,
Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 29
Cordelia Leigh from over the sea...we got your pictures!
This is you in 2-D. We can see your whole adorable profile in veeerry good detail! But it gets better....
Here you are in 3-D, looking lovely and smiling a little smile. You're about to suck your thumb.
That blob-thing by your face is your hand, your left thumb is in your mouth. That's the second time we've seen you do that...you're like your Mommy.
Our friends think you have your Daddy's nose. Which is fine with Mommy! Less German bump, more cuteness!
We are getting excited because we will be seeing you in 11 weeks. We can't wait! =D
Love,
Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 27
It's the first week of school and Mommy is a busy bee, working to make sure everything is organized and put together in a good way. You see, Cordy, Mommy will need to have another teacher come teach her class while she is having YOU and spending time getting to know you after you are born.
Right now you are able to live outside of Mommy's tummy, but don't you dare come out until Halloween, missy! We want your brain to finish getting ready to learn before you are born.
Mommy has been feeling tired lately, something everybody says to get used to, because when you are born you won't be able to talk. You'll have to cry to tell us what you want. You will need to eat lots of times in the day AND the night, and you will need diaper changes to help you feel clean and comfy.
We are working on the nursery, getting your picture done on the wall so you will have something bright and beautiful to see when you're lying in your crib.
People love you already! Beth and one of Daddy's customers have given you LOTS of baby clothes to fit up to six months. You won't need any newborn clothes at all! =D
We are happy that you are growing healthfully and strong. We love you!

Week 23
Oh, Cordelia Leigh. You've been growing so much that Mommy feels every time you kick! You are very active all day long, with little naps in between. When Mommy and Daddy are talking you kick harder, you know our voices!
Your favorite thing right now is to have vibration (from a purring cat or a videogame controller) which is soothing. Loud noises make you jump!
You get to be in another video, this time on August 20th. We're making a DVD and taking LOTS of pictures to share with friends and family. Everyone is excited to meet you and can't wait. Only 17 more weeks to go!
Love,
Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 22
Cordelia Leigh, we are so proud of you! Daddy felt you kick for the first time just now. You've got one more hour until there's only 18 weeks left, and two more weeks until you're 'viable' which means you're such a big girl!
Your sense of balance is working now, so it's really up to you whether you'll be turning cartwheels like Mommy or staying on the ground like Daddy.
Aunt Wendy is finished with her first week of medicine. It made her feel sick, but she is feeling better today. Maybe she will get to feel you kicking when we see her tomorrow. =D
For now, it's bedtime, at least for Mommy and Daddy. We get the feeling that you will be up for awhile with your new karate skills.
Eagerly Expecting You,
Your Mommy and Daddy
Wednesday, June 29, 2011
Week 21
Hi Cordy! There are only 19 more weeks until you "come out to play." =D
What are you doing in there? Dreaming. Your brain is ready to make dreams now when you're sleeping. Are you sucking your thumb? Probably, if you're like your Mommy.
We need to tell you that you are such a blessing! There is so much good coming from you being here in our lives, even if you're still a little guy in Mommy's tummy. Your Aunt Wendy is very sick and needs to go to the hospital a lot, the medicine makes her feel even sicker. But everyone has something to look forward to since she is going to get better and YOU are going to come bless our lives.
We love you so much and can't wait to "meet you" in person.
Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 20
And we're off hiatus! The end of the school year makes Mommy's head hurt, so we took a break to save on sanity.
Baby, you have a name! On June 15th we went to the doctor and they told us you are a little girl! So Daddy and Mommy have decided that you will be called Cordelia Leigh. Some people are less excited about your name than we are, but they will get to love it the way we love you.
What are you doing? For one thing, you're growing very fast. Sometimes Mommy can feel you moving! Your arms and legs have grown, your teeth have come in, and you're even sucking your thumb, we caught you sucking the left one. Did you know that Mommy and Dede are lefties?
Your Grandmama sent us this video which you will either love or hate when you're older:
We are so happy to know your name and learn more about you! Keep growing big, healthy, and happy!
Love,
Your Mommy

The Second Trimester!!
Hello Baby!
Look who's three inches long and making Mommy's womb the size of a softball!
You are really showing up! =D
Did you know that your head is one inch of the three inches you have?
I bet you did, because you're all brain right now!
Your neck is starting to straighten out and you are wiggling and turning a bit inside of Mommy, but she can't feel it yet. You're just tiny still. But that's ok, you are 1/3 of the way ready to come out to play!
Your Daddy is helping Mommy more now, especially since this is Spring Break and we needed it! We spent three mornings together as a family! =D Today we went to the Olive Garden and saw a friend from school. Then we all came home and took a biiiiig nap.
Oh, Baby, Mommy is so happy to hold you all the time now, but she wants to hold you in her arms! Keep growing big and smart so we can see you!
Love,
Your Mommy

Week 11
Oh, Baby! You're the size of a plum now! You're learning to swallow, which means you're tasting the things that Mommy eats and drinks. You even have a favorite game- it's called touching your face, cheeks, nose, and especially your mouth!
Are you going to suck your thumb like Mommy? Which one?
Mommy got to hear your heart again on your 11th week-iversary. =) So did Aunt Wendy and your Grandmama and Grandpa, too!
Today is Good Friday, the day we celebrate the love Jesus shared with us when he died for us.
Tomorrow Mommy is going to get her blood taken so the doctors can check to be sure everything is OK with you.
Then Sunday is Easter! We will celebrate Jesus coming back to life and living forever! You're going to be with us this year. We will pray in the morning, then Mommy and Grandpa will sing in the choir to share the Easter story. You'll be on stage for the first time. =D After we sing we will go to the nursery where Mommy and Daddy are practicing skills to take care of you! Then we will go to Arcadia and see your Didi and Paw, Mimi, and Papa Joe. If we're lucky we will see Lynn and Shelby, Aunt Chris, Uncle Keith, and Aunt Duck, Aunt Donna, and Uncle Rodney too!
Next week Mommy is off from work for spring break! We will go to the beach, have lunch at the Olive Garden with Mommy's friends from work, and see Grammie too. Mommy is looking forward to being able to sleep as late as she wants to for SIX DAYS in a row! We will also do some work in your nursery to help get it ready to go.
That's all the news right now, Dear Baby. We will be writing to you soon to talk about your week 12!
Love,
Your Mommy

Week 10
Look, Baby! You've moved up a square in the pane! You are officially a fetus now, which means you're one step closer to being our baby. =)
Did you know Mommy's already got a bump?
You're not part of the bump,
you're actually below it.
Mommy's body is growing to make room for you!
This is the first picture showing Mommy's tummy. =) There will be more to come.
So what are you doing right now?
Your tummy is learning how to use food to make energy, your heart is still beating about 150 beats per minute, and you will be twice as big as you are now in another three weeks! How's THAT for a growth spurt??
God knows what he is doing as he's making you. We are praying that you will keep growing safe and happy.
Love,
Your Mommy

Week 9
Only 31 weeks to go, Dear Baby! Mommy is enjoying ALMOST every minute this week.
Your Grandmama bought Mommy two adorable maternity dresses, a pair of pants, and a pair of shorts. Now we can be comfy this summer! =)
Dede is excited to know about your pictures at the doctor and will be coming for a visit soon.
Not much else to say tonight, Baby. Mommy is going to go get us some rest. =)

Your First Pictures!
Oh, Baby, you're a superstar!
You did so well today when Mommy went to the doctor.
Misty measured you and said that your due date (November 9th) is about right.
You seemed a little smaller to her, but you were all curled up. Were you napping? Mommy can see your head and little hand, and is that your knee?
You were moving a little bit during the pictures. We could see your heart wiggle wiggling in your chest to pump your blood, just like Mommy's.
Mommy's tests came back and you are safe. Mommy's blood and heart are healthy and ready to keep working for you! And YOUR heart is beating at 151 beats per minute, which is about twice as fast as Mommy's. That's good. =)
Mommy and Daddy are working on your nursery. Your crib is set up (just waiting on the mattress) and if you were ready to come home tomorrow...well...we still need to get things ready for you. You're gonna need a lotta stuff, Little One!
Ok, Dear Baby, Mommy's going to go get cleaned up and put up her feet. Tomorrow's a full school day of fun and excitement, so Mommy's got to get lots of rest to keep up for the rest of the week. We love you!

Going to the doctor's office!
Dear Baby,
It is so good to wake up in the morning and not want to throw up! Thank you for working on that placenta. You must really love your Mommy. =D
Mommy has been reading up on how you are growing and what her body is doing to make room for you. Did you know that Mommy's hips are going to be wider before we're done? That's to make space for your head to come out! A scientist on TV showed with bones how you will have to do some acrobatics just to fit through. You're so amazing!
Tomorrow Mommy, Daddy, and Grandmama are going to the doctor for your first check-up. Mommy is excited and can't wait to hear how big you really are (right now we're just guessing) and to get a closer idea of when you'll be born. On Wednesday you'll definitely have a letter about how everything is going and to update your due date if we need to. Until then, rest up and grow, Dear Baby. You've got a lot of work to do! =)

Week 8
Happy two months of being around, Baby!
You are one inch long, your legs and arms have real joints, and your tail is disappearing!
Your Grandmama went shopping for your at Books-A-Million and got your future favorite book Pat the Bunny. Mommy bought a Belly Squeeze and some belly bars. Yay! Belly bars make Mommy's tummy happy because they have CHOCOLATE, but they make you healthy too because of the vitamins like folic acid and DHA that are in there.
Your Daddy is helping around the house right now since Mommy comes home and just wants to sleep. Pretty soon we'll all take naps at the same time. ^^
Speaking of naps, it's time for Mommy to settle in for a long Springtime's nap. Good night, Dear Baby!
Love,
Your Mommy

Foooood...?
Dear Baby,
Mommy knows you need lots of good food to help you grow. But it's hard, because Mommy's tummy has been so upset this week. Your Daddy has been making extra trips to the store for things like crackers, ginger tea, and other starchy foods to help settle Mommy's stomach so she can get the good vitamins to you.
Mommy's class is all excited, some think you will be born very soon, even though you won't be born until November. That's a long wait for an excited pair of parents, but you're worth it.
Mommy is going to go lay down and rest. We love you!

Week 7!
This little Piggy went to market, this little Piggy stayed home...Ok, Baby, we know that we can't play with your toesies yet, but you're growing them! Mommy can't wait to get those little baby feet nice and clean and put little kisses on them!
You look like this:
Your little tail is starting to go away as your legs develop. You actually look kind of like a mini-alien right now! One awfully cute alien!
Mommy was sent home sick from work today- throwing up is NOT a good way to get you the vitamins you need! Thankfully there are only two more school days until a nice weekend with Daddy, Dede and Poppy M (who thinks he'd like to be called Peepaw, but Mommy says that's a silly name). Aunt Chris and Uncle Keith will be there too, you haven't met them before!
Did you know that you have a cousin? Yes, Uncle Keith has a son named Josh...but he's no baby. Josh was 21 when Uncle Keith married Aunt Chris. They live in Gainesville, which Mommy says she's sorry for, because Tallahassee is so much nicer! You're going to go to whatever college you want when you grow up, but Mommy and Daddy would be extra proud if you grew up to be a Seminole like us!
That is all for tonight, Dear Baby. We love you!

Sunday
Hello, Dear Baby!
I thought you might want to know what Mommy and Daddy are doing this week. Today is Sunday, so we went to church. Everyone was excited to know that you were in Mommy's tummy! =D We came home and Mommy was completely bushwhacked. There was quiet time with kitties.
Have I told you about our pets?
Stormy was our first kitty. Your Grandpa rescued him in a storm one night. He was smaller than Aunt Wendy's hand! He has an M on his forehead- because he's a Markham, just like you! He has a long stripedy tail, green and gold eyes, and a speckle-belly. He curls up next to Mommy when she's resting in the afternoons.
Jiji is our next cat. We rescued him from the pound for $8. What a deal! He has copper eyes and he is all black except for a silver spot on his belly.
Maera (or My-my as you'll probably call her) is a beagle. She's just a baby puppy right now, but when you are born she will be almost one year old. She has a brown face with a white tip on her nose and tri-color marks on her body. She is very cute...but she's a trouble maker! I'm sure you will get along splendidly.
The rest of this week Mommy and Daddy will be working, then we will get to see your DeDe and Poppy Markham on Saturday for a family dinner. They will be giving us lots of hugs because they haven't seen us since before we knew about you!
Mommy needs to go rest now. Growing a baby is tiring work! You are worth every minute. =)
Much love and kisses,
Your Mommy

Week Six, Already!
Hello, Dear Baby!
You have already been in Mommy's tummy for six weeks. Of course, we didn't know until last week, so the first four or five went by super-fast.
What are you doing? You're growing faster and faster! You're 7-9 millimeters long. Your hands are beginning to form! And you still have a tail. That's right, a tail. It's going to be your spinal column one day. You kind of look like a mermaid/merman right now. Your eyes, nose, and ears are starting to form.
Mommy is working hard to walk a little bit more every day, which will help keep both of us healthy. Mommy's class is very excited to know that there's a baby in her tummy! They will get to see pictures of how you're growing each week. Also, Mommy's got her first doctor's visit on the schedule! At 2:15 on April 4th Mommy will get to hear your heart beat for the first time.
This is such an exciting time, Baby. We are so glad to know you are here.
Love,
Your Mommy

Sick Mama!
Oh, baby!
We're sick. You're safe for right now in your little hidey-hole of Mommy's womb, but Mommy is sneezing, coughing, and having a sad time in general. Mommy gets sick pretty easily these days, and she is determined to keep you safe from medicines that would make you grow slowly or hurt you. No drugs for Mommy, not even Tylenol unless we get a fever, because that could hurt you too.
Daddy is being such a helper! He's been cleaning around the house and making tea to help Mommy's throat. You will love him so much, he's going to be the best Daddy ever for you.
We have your nursery filled with baby things for you, thanks to friends (Sunny and Kerry, thank you!) and the Lamb of God thrift shop. Your crib came from one of Sunny's clients, as did lots of diapers. Mommy found your little bench where one day you will sit in the shade outside and read. Since Ms. Stacy is staying in our guest room right now your nursery is FILLED with all of the extra things from when Mommy and Daddy moved into the house, but don't worry. We will get your space cleaned out and make it beautiful for you!
Noah's Ark is the theme of your room, which is a great beginning to tell you about how God keeps his promises. Plus, I get to put rainbows in your room and it doesn't matter if you're a girl or boy. We won't know your gender until a long time from now, when you're about 18 weeks old. We've still got 12 and a half weeks for that!
Don't worry, Mommy won't rush you. Take the time you need to grow. Mommy is drinking orange juice every morning to help your brain grow smart and healthy. Daddy is helping too- he makes yummy breakfasts with protein and fruit like breakfast quesadillas with strawberries on the side and blueberry pancakes. Mommy is eating right, making sure that only healthy foods make their way to you.
We will keep praying for you. We love you.

New Beginnings....
Hello, world!
Hello, baby!
I'm glad to introduce you. Baby M is growing inside of me and I am proud to say I will be his/her Mommy.
Sweet Baby,
We only just found out that we would be your parents YESTERDAY! Daddy M and I are so excited! We've been trying for six months just to have you! We are happy to know that you are here. =D
A little about Mommy and Daddy: we met at college in the Japanese Animation Club of Tallahassee. Say that five times fast! We fell in love and were married on May 1, 2004. We both love Jesus and are happy to teach you about him. Mommy is 27 and Daddy is 30.
We wanted things to be just right for you, so we waited for six years before trying to have you. Your Grandmama and Grandpa R were so glad to hear that you were coming-- your Grandmama kissed you on Mommy's tummy tonight. Your Dede and Poppy M are just as happy, but they live 45 minutes away. We will see them in a few weeks and can tell them ALL about you!
Right now you're smaller than a grain of rice. That's pretty tiny! Your body is starting to form, too. King David said "You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb." That's so true, and it's so amazing to know that it's happening right now!
God is good to us. We pray that he blesses you with healthy growth as he knits you.
Love,
Your Mommy
