Nine Months

Hello, Sweet Girl! You are nine months old today. See those toofers in the picture? You're cutting four more up on the top, too! I look at your smile and see four little white bumps in there. ^^

This is you at Grandmama's and Grandpa's house. You have your own couch and remote there. Which is cool, because you like to chase remotes and try to eat them. The poor XBOX remote is still trying to recover from the drool you put on it. ;)

Mommy is back at school full-time, but you are staying up later in the evenings now. You used to go to bed at six, but now you are a night-owl who stays up until seven pm! I love getting to spend time with you in the evenings. 

And you smile! You are still the happiest baby girl. We love having you in our family and in our lives. Thank you for being our girl.

Moovin' and Groovin'

Cordy!  You can crawl!!!!

 You almost pulled to stand last week by yourself, and tonight you crawled to Mommy! Aunt Wendy caught it on camera.

 

 You are still very new to this crawling business, but it's going to be so much fun zooming around with you! =D

 We've had adventures this week- this morning you went to the beach for the first time and tomorrow you'll go visit Didi and Paw for your first Fourth of July. We can't wait to see you show off for them! Maybe you'll even get to eat some yummy treats. ;)

Seven and a Half Months

Hello, Cordy!

You've been a busy girl, popping out another tooth! Your two bottom teeth are now in fully. What else have you done lately?

You sat up on your own! You're getting pretty good at this new trick, and we cheer and clap for you when you do it. You can clap along with us! You open your mouth super-wide and say "Ahhhhhwoooohhhaaaaahhhh!" when you clap. It's soo cute.

You love to laugh, here you are from last Tuesday, laughing at Aunt Krista's fun giraffe toy.


Mommy and Daddy are glad your teething pains are done for now, you had a hard week last week. We worked to help you stay comfortable and gave you things to chew, like your raspberry in the picture.

You are growing up! You can hold your own bottle, turn on and off your seahorse and piano toys, and army-crawl super-fast after Jiji. You like to touch his feet, and he lets you sometimes. Other times he leads you around the floor in a wild goose-chase. You're the silly goose who's chasing, of course! =D

Seven Months!

Cordy,
You turned seven months old on Sunday! Only five more months of being an infant, but you'll always be my baby. ^^
You spent a week at the lake. While you were there you swam for the first time:

We had a very fun time!

So, what are you doing? You can army crawl! You went four body lengths chasing the remote control on Sunday. You need a good reason to go, and you work hard to do it, so it can be frustrating. You're getting your knees up under you and rocking back and forth as of today! Crawling is coming into style in this house!

You like to play and sleep with PhillipJohnnyBob, your stuffed elephant.

He's named after the elephant in the Junie B. Jones books. We really hope you will enjoy reading those.

You also are eating meats now! You have eaten turkey and chicken, and tonight is roast beef! But wait, it's not Thursday! Oh well. =)

We love you so very much, and are having a blast playing with you and watching you learn and grow.

Six Month Checkup

Hello, Sweet Girl!
You are sleeping (for over an hour and a half now) after a long drive and a visit to the doctor. Mommy gave you Tylenol before we went in, because she knew you were getting shots. =(
You weigh 20.5 lbs and are 29 inches long. Your weight is in the 96th percentile and your length is in the 98th percentile. You are still developmentally ahead by 2-3 months, according to the doctor. He said you are perfect. =D You wowed him with sitting up, rolling over, and turning while on your tummy. When you got your shots you only fussed for a few seconds.
This week so far has been very fun. What are you up to? You took a trip to Mimi's lake house! We went swimming in the lake and you were amazed at how big everything was. You played with your toys and are working to crawl sooo hard! I can't wait to see you finally get there. Your hair is getting longer. In places it's over an inch long, and it's coming in light. We're still not sure what color it will end up to be!
You are so sweet and happy. We are definitely blessed to have you, and Mommy will have pictures and videos to show off soon!

Six Months Already?!?

Ok, Little One. We pretty much missed a month here. We were so busy having fun and growing that we didn't have the time to post. You had fun with Aunt Wendy at Easter. You turned six months old on May 10th. ^^ On May 12th we went to the mother-daughter banquet together.

Here you are with Mommy, Grandmama, Grammie, Aunt Wendy, and Aunt Krista. All your favorite girls on the Romeis side of your family!

Then on May 13th you had your dedication day.

Here you are with Didi and Daddy: We dedicated you to God, telling him that we would teach you who he is and how much he loves you. Today we went to Ft. Lauderdale to Mommy's company picnic. What fun you had, and you did so well! No tears, even through 2hours of driving both ways. That's Mommy's girl! =D We love you so much and are so happy to have you in our lives. ~Your Mommy and Daddy

Dear Easter Baby,
Today is the celebration of Jesus coming back to life after he died to help us be free to grow close to God. He loves us all very much and we will meet him in person someday. Other Easter things are nice and fun, but this is the most important part. ^^
About you: you had SO much fun this weekend! You visited both sets of grandparents, got dressed up in your bunny costume, went to church in your purple Easter dress, and worked on your new skills: sitting up (still need some help), rolling over (back to tummy, but not back to your back yet), splashing in the tub, and putting things in your mouth.
Speaking of putting things in your mouth- you are eating so much now! Rice and oatmeal, banana, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and apples, to be exact. Not sure what the next food will be yet, but I bet it will be an adventure! ^^
Mommy and Daddy are so happy when we get to spend time with you as our little family. You are so nice to cuddle and it's a joy to watch you learn and grow. On Tuesday you will be five months old!
