Dear Easter Baby,
Today is the celebration of Jesus coming back to life after he died to help us be free to grow close to God. He loves us all very much and we will meet him in person someday. Other Easter things are nice and fun, but this is the most important part. ^^
About you: you had SO much fun this weekend! You visited both sets of grandparents, got dressed up in your bunny costume, went to church in your purple Easter dress, and worked on your new skills: sitting up (still need some help), rolling over (back to tummy, but not back to your back yet), splashing in the tub, and putting things in your mouth.
Speaking of putting things in your mouth- you are eating so much now! Rice and oatmeal, banana, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and apples, to be exact. Not sure what the next food will be yet, but I bet it will be an adventure! ^^
Mommy and Daddy are so happy when we get to spend time with you as our little family. You are so nice to cuddle and it's a joy to watch you learn and grow. On Tuesday you will be five months old!

Loving Your Laughter

Dear Cordy,

We are so blessed to have you. You are starting to give us these beautiful, bubbly little laughs. Your giggles make us smile and warm our hearts.

What a joy you are to us!

What else have you done this week? You rolled onto your tummy, then back to your back! Getting back is trickier than it looks, though, so you get stuck on your tummy more often than not.

You are eating: baby cereal, milk, carrots, peas, banana, and sweet potato. All pureed (or mashed if it's banana) by Mommy with love. Tonight was your first taste of sweet potato and you really liked it! Not as much as banana though!! When Mommy warms it up and it gets all sweet and mushy you gobble it up like a baby bird. How fun it is to feed you!

You had dinner with Aunt Krista and Aunt Wendy this week, and last night Grandmama and Cranpa brought you home and stayed for a visit.

You are loved by everyone you meet. What a wonderful baby you are, and we love you SO SO SO much!

Four Month Check-Up!

Hi Baby!

We just got back from your four month check-up at the doctor's office. You are 27.25 inches long, you weigh 17 lbs 6 oz, and your head circumference is 16.75 inches.
You are at the 95th percentile for your weight, but you're at the 97th percentile for your height! Long baby is long. =D

You showed off to the doctor, who said your development is in the 6-9 month range. That's our girl! Then you got three shots. They hurt your legs and you cried, but Mommy said "Shhhhh, it's ok, baby." You had some milk and felt much better. Then you took a looooong nap and rested.

Now we're going to see Aunt Wendy and Grandmama for baby therapy. =D

4 Months

Well, Little Lady, you're four months old.

You've got quite a bit to say about it, too:


You're very talkative now. You will talk about anything...if only we could understand what you have to say! Today you communicated by looking at Mommy, gurgling to get her attention, and making sucking sounds. You were hungry! You didn't even need to cry, you just used your body language to let Mommy know what you wanted. Way to go! Pretty soon you'll be using signs that Mommy and Daddy use to let us know what you need.

Workin' Mama

Hi Little One!

Mommy misses you SO much at work. Sometimes she only sees you for a couple of hours before your bedtime. It's not nearly as good as when Mommy is off work and can see you all day.

But Mommy's class loves hearing stories about you and last week we made acrostic poems. I made one for you.

Three Months!

Happy three months, Little One!

We are so glad you're here with us. You can do so many more things now! You can hold up your head all on your own. You are learning to sit and stand with support. You coo, giggle, and grin with Mommy and Daddy every day, and you are starting to reach and grab for things that you like. Tonight you ate some delicious cereal, and we made a movie of it for you.


You are so big. Your blue eyes make us want to gaze at them all day because of how beautiful they are. We love your smile, and you smile often! You are such a happy girl. Thank you for coming to stay with us and be our girl.
