Week 35

pregnancy

Mommy is excited, Cordy! You have 2 to 6 1/7 weeks left. When are you going to choose to come out? I dunno, but we're going to be ready for you when you do!

There's a big party on Saturday for you. You won't be there except in Mommy's tummy, but you will be able to hear the talking and fun. You will be able to feel the hugs and belly pats. You will taste the cake (Mmmmmm) in your fluid.

Everybody who is close-by and who loves us will be there! Some people are even coming from farther away. You will get presents, because this is an early birthday party. Mommy and Daddy get to open them, though, because you're still inside.

You are SOO big! Your head and feet are stretching all the way down Mommy's tummy. Your feet are pushing up, up, up into Mommy's ribs, which is not too comfy for her, but that's ok. You're going to be the best-loved little girl, mostly because you already are. ^^

Week 34

Hey there, miss thang!

This is a note from your Mommy. Please keep growing, but try not to smoosh your feet into my diaphragm. I need to use that too!

But really, Cordy, we're very happy. Mommy was given an award for being in the top 25% of the company. Daddy is losing weight and feeling good!

You are at the 70th percentile for weight, and you're head down, facing Mommy's back. How can we tell? We can feel your butt putting pressure on Mommy's belly, and your feet pushing up into Mommy's diaphragm (the muscle we use to breathe).

Bradley classes are going well, Mommy is keeping track of her diet so we can get you good foods that will help you keep strong. We are also learning how to relaaaax so when it's time for you to be born we won't need any medicine. Because having a baby hurts. But you are WORTH IT!

Keep growing in there, and don't come out until Halloween is over, ok?

Love,
Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 32

pregnancy

Helloooo, Baby Cordy!
We have been very busy. Saturday was 6 hours of childbirth class. Sunday was pictures! Monday was a check-up with Dr. Murray (he says you are doing great). Tuesday we met Dr. McKenna, who will be your pediatrician. PHEW!
Then today is your 32 week point! Woo-hoo!

What's that? You want to see the pictures? Ok...here's one. ^^

We are waiting for the lion's share to be finished, but Miss Lisa did a BEAUTIFUL job so far! =D

Mommy is going to go feed her belly, which will make both of us happy.

We love you!!!

Week 31

pregnant

Miss Cordy, you weigh 4 lbs and 3 oz today! You're 16.9 inches long and your femur measures the same as the average 32 week old. ^^ Miss Hilda who did your ultrasound said you have wide feet, which is like your Daddy. You were practicing breathing today, we also saw you purse your lips and sip, sip, sip on your fluid, which should have a taste of kielbasa, green pepper, carrots, grapes, and cherries (Mommy's lunch).

We are happy to tell you that your placenta is 8 inches away from the cervix (the place in Mommy's tummy you will squeeze through) and you will be born with no medicines. =D

That being said, Mommy is praying for struggles in our family with Aunt Wendy's cancer making it hard to get the surgery she needs. Sad things can happen in our lives, but God will take care of us, even when it is hard. Just like we will take care of you.

Love,
Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 30

pregnancy calendar

We have about 10 weeks left, Miss Cordy. Then you could come out to play!

This week Mommy's body is stretching to make room for you to come out. It hurts, but it's worth it for a beautiful baby like you. Mommy has been telling her new students about you, showing them your pictures. They are excited for Halloween to come, because you'll be almost here, then!

Your future friend Harper was born yesterday, she weighed over 5 pounds. How much will you weigh? Probably between 7.5 and 8.5 pounds.

Your Daddy has been working to keep our house nice while Mommy works and comes home to rest. Let's thank him, ok?

Aaaand this weekend you will get to hear your grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins at Mimi and Papa Joe's lake house. It's going to be fun, there will be tasty food, and we will get to share about how you are growing.

What are you up to right now? Mostly just being a baby. You sleep, kick, play with your feet, move your arms in what Mommy calls "dancing," and chill. It's pretty easy just hanging out, growing, and gaining weight. In fact, if you ever gain weight as fast as this again, you're probably having a little one of your own!

We love you, but stay put until Halloween, you hear? We can wait to meet you until then. =D

Week 29

pregnancy due date

Cordelia Leigh from over the sea...we got your pictures!

This is you in 2-D. We can see your whole adorable profile in veeerry good detail! But it gets better....

Here you are in 3-D, looking lovely and smiling a little smile. You're about to suck your thumb.

That blob-thing by your face is your hand, your left thumb is in your mouth. That's the second time we've seen you do that...you're like your Mommy.

Our friends think you have your Daddy's nose. Which is fine with Mommy! Less German bump, more cuteness!

We are getting excited because we will be seeing you in 11 weeks. We can't wait! =D

Your Mommy and Daddy

Week 27

pregnancy calendar

It's the first week of school and Mommy is a busy bee, working to make sure everything is organized and put together in a good way. You see, Cordy, Mommy will need to have another teacher come teach her class while she is having YOU and spending time getting to know you after you are born.

Right now you are able to live outside of Mommy's tummy, but don't you dare come out until Halloween, missy! We want your brain to finish getting ready to learn before you are born.

Mommy has been feeling tired lately, something everybody says to get used to, because when you are born you won't be able to talk. You'll have to cry to tell us what you want. You will need to eat lots of times in the day AND the night, and you will need diaper changes to help you feel clean and comfy.

We are working on the nursery, getting your picture done on the wall so you will have something bright and beautiful to see when you're lying in your crib.

People love you already! Beth and one of Daddy's customers have given you LOTS of baby clothes to fit up to six months. You won't need any newborn clothes at all! =D

We are happy that you are growing healthfully and strong. We love you!
