You've said so many cute words and phrases, some of which you're starting to grow out of now as you learn to speak English and not Cordy-ese.

There are so many more cute things you've said and done, and getting to see you do them is a treat. Mama's a little sad that you're growing up so fast, but we are very proud of your growing and learning!
Over a year ago was your first birthday. That was the last time I wrote to you here, Cordy. You have been such a busy bee, growing fast and strong. We didn't miss you, just writing about you.
You are two now! This is the fourth calendar year that you've been able to live in, and 2014 is going to have some very big changes. You've already done so much growing. Last we wrote, you were 366 days old, crawling, standing up by yourself, saying a few words, and starting to feed yourself. Now you can walk, run, dance, jump (...almost), talk up a storm, and SING! Tonight you made a pretend birthday party while you were playing in the tub. The stopper was the cake (whose candle you blew out), the shovel was the spoon, and the tub rail was the table. You sang "Happy birthday to you" to yourself after you blew out the candle. Maybe it's because you remember going to Disney World and singing Happy Birthday and blowing out a candle.
We are so proud of how strong you are becoming: using the potty, mastering self-control in tricky situations, learning new things, working hard to obey the rules that keep you safe, and showing your beautiful manners. Today we played in the rain. I chased you in the back yard. You made mud, picked flowers, and explored the rain barrels. You are such a treat to know and love.
And, you're beautiful. There's no doubt about that-- your blue eyes and cheerful smile make people have to smile back. The best part about your beauty is that it shines from the inside out. Your heart is kind and loving, and we continue to pray that you will always love first.
You turned one yesterday, and a big Happy Birthday!
We had SO much fun. First we went to Panera and you had yogurt, souffle, and pumpkin pie bagel. Then we went to the Children's Museum of Naples (C'mon!). We were going to see the Sesame Street event (which was free, so it was kind of like a birthday present), but we got to the area about an hour early. We saw that in the same park they were having a day about the Florida panther, so we went there to spend some time. You got to pet a bunny rabbit and talk to pygmy goats! You saw stuffed animals of panthers, bobcats, and other animals, and you made everyone there say "Awwww" because of your adorable outfit. =D
Then we went into the museum and you got to meet Cookie Monster!
Here you are waiting to see Cookie. He's in the background. You really liked touching the fur on his monster body. You smiled so big!
We got to play in the baby/toddler area made just for little ones like you! You really liked the butterfly climber and going down the slide. =) You practiced standing up with nothing to help you today!
The toys here were fun and you did well remembering not to put them in your mouth. =D
After we went to the museum you slept in the car and we picked up your balloons. Your party had an owl theme, you see.
We put you down for a looooong nap, and while you slept some visitors came! Didi and Paw came with Aunt Chris and your cousin Angelina! Grandmama, Cranpa, and Aunt Wendy came too! Your friends Klu, Nara, Michelle, Mary, Ryan, Amanda, and Jamie came! Then you woke up and saw alll these people there, happy and ready to eat. You had potato salad, yogurt, veggies, raviolis, and milk. You ate lots of yummy food, and when you were done Aunt Krista and Uncle Richard came!
We all played and talked and had fun, and then Mommy brought out your birthday cake. You didn't know what was going on, because everyone suddenly started to sing!
You really liked that part. THEN we got you ready to eat cake. You had a BIG cake all to yourself and you got to eat it any way you wanted.
Daddy helped. Mommy and all your friends and family encouraged you to enjoy your first birthday cake. It was soo yummy!
Then you took a bath, a very messy bath, and we got you ready for bed. You said byebye to your guests and had a good sleep.
I'm so glad you had such an exciting, fun-filled birthday. I can hardly wait for next time, too!
Hello, Beauty!
You're ten months old already, and getting bigger, stronger, and smarter every day!
What have you been doing? Well...
You went to Grandmama and Gamdpa's house and got your first goodie bag, you went to Grandmama's retirement party, you played with power tools in a tutu, and you grew more teeth! You're working on tooth seven and eight right now...you'll have six on top and two on bottom. :D
Tonight you said your first word. *^.^*
You were in bed, but awake and Mommy heard you. We realized that your sound machine wasn't on yet, so Mommy went in to turn it on. Boy, were you glad to see her!!!!!!! You grinned from ear to ear and stood up quickly, as if to say "You're here! I've been waiting for you. I MISSED you!"
Mommy turned on your machine and put you onto the changing table. You rolled and kicked and looked Mommy in the eyes and said "Mama!" what a heart melter you are.
Hello, Sweet Girl! You are nine months old today. See those toofers in the picture? You're cutting four more up on the top, too! I look at your smile and see four little white bumps in there. ^^
This is you at Grandmama's and Grandpa's house. You have your own couch and remote there. Which is cool, because you like to chase remotes and try to eat them. The poor XBOX remote is still trying to recover from the drool you put on it. ;)
Mommy is back at school full-time, but you are staying up later in the evenings now. You used to go to bed at six, but now you are a night-owl who stays up until seven pm! I love getting to spend time with you in the evenings.
And you smile! You are still the happiest baby girl. We love having you in our family and in our lives. Thank you for being our girl.
You almost pulled to stand last week by yourself, and tonight you crawled to Mommy! Aunt Wendy caught it on camera.
You are still very new to this crawling business, but it's going to be so much fun zooming around with you! =D
We've had adventures this week- this morning you went to the beach for the first time and tomorrow you'll go visit Didi and Paw for your first Fourth of July. We can't wait to see you show off for them!
Maybe you'll even get to eat some yummy treats. ;)
We love you so much- thank you for being our baby girl.
